“The possible’s slow fuse is lit by the
Imagination.”

The present entrance examination system for Indian universities is based on the lines of convergent thinking: the ability to arrive at the single best answer deemed correct by a select committee. One big thing that is missing on these tests is the assessment of divergent thinking: the ability to generate multiple possibilities, ideas, and solutions to a problem.
ERA Foundation is proud to launch Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 - a pan-India assessment platform for students seeking admissions to Engineering, Medical and Dental at undergraduate level .The brand Uni-GAUGE stands for trust, transparency and reliability in assessment.
Scores obtained by students in the Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 examination will be one of the eligibility criteria for admission to B.E/Btech, MBBS and BDS courses in Participating Member Universities.
It is by far the most widely administered test of divergent thinking and establishes a truly equitable and fair system with the objective to separate entrance test from admissions.
With the test, we aim to streamline the process of entrance exams for private and deemed universities, which have so far been conducting their own entrance tests. ERA will not be conducting counselling; the individual universities will conduct their own counselling for admissions based on the scores of the students in the online test. They will announce a cut-off. The universities would be able to choose from a larger pool of students from across the country for the non-government quota of seats.
The idea was to facilitate the exam admission process on the lines of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) wherein the scores become the qualifier for admissions.
The Uni-GAUGE EMeD 2015 will be held on 26th April 2015 and the last date of application is 4th April 2015(Online). Students can log in to our website www.erafoundationindia.org for more details on the same.
We have partnered with TCS, iON, India’s leading test administration organization for Uni-GAUGE.
